Best-of-three coin flip house rules

Run informal best-of-two-wins series with Recent flips, facilitator scripts, and accessible readouts—without a hidden rematch button.

This guide describes how to run best-of-three (or first-to-two) flips using repeated presses of Flip coin, not an automatic series mode.

Agree whether ties restart the series or count as half-points before anyone touches the button.

Setup

Assign one device operator and one witness if stakes are high; everyone else watches the live region text.

Turn Coin animation Off if you need three quick outcomes for a timed meeting.

Open Recent flips so the group can audit counts without screenshots.

Counting wins

Track Heads and Tails wins on a whiteboard; the tool does not stop automatically at two wins.

If the third flip is unnecessary because someone reached two wins, stop flipping and record the final score in meeting notes.

Do not delete Recent flips mid-series unless everyone agrees to restart.

Accessibility

Enable Speak result when participants join by phone audio only.

Repeat the live region aloud even when speech works, in case one output fails on a locked-down browser.

Limits

Not for regulated contests or gambling; document house rules externally if prizes are involved.

Auto-flip on timer is for demos, not rapid-fire tournament brackets—pause between rounds for discussion.
